But lately since all that stupid cold weather, it hasn't been that nice outside. But thanks gawd, it finally let the sun out and the weather seem nice since last weeks! :)

Not going to say anything else, as am sure I already spoil lot of thing here. And I'm trying not to but it hard *grin*.
French Twist is an exciting adventure that will keep you enthralled until the end. A sizzling fast pace action with a little dose of danger that kept you on edge of your seat. Plenty of passion romance and tender moments. Wonderful strong characters with good humors. This is must read :)
This have been my fourth books I read by Roxanne St. Claire. Two of the books were part of an on going "Bullet Catcher" series. One were a stand alone Tropical Getaway, which was an opening to the "Bullet Catcher" series. I don't think you would go wrong with reading Roxanne St. Claire. Most of her books are tension romance with actions and good strong characters. I like them all!

Innocent in Death by JDRobb

(Futuristic romantic suspense) ***** stars
The story began when an history teacher, Graig Foster was murdered at the private school, after his young wife sent him on his way to work with a packed lunch of his favorite foods and chocolate. Turn out it was ricin that killed him. His colleagues and students were shocked and couldn't understand why a nice and kind...innocent man like Graig was murdered. It was up to Eve Dallas, Lt. of the NYPSD, to find answers to this murder case and find all the potential suspects. But there been a secret behind the school staffs and not all is seem to be.
Eve seem to have a personal problem with Roarke past ex-lover Magdelana Percell, who seem to use every trick to manipulated and she is anything but innocent. But Magdelana visit cause problem between Eve and Roarke. And it leave Eve feeling emotional turmoil about their marriage.
I think this is the best book to date! I love how well developed Eve and Roarke relationship are. You can feel their frustration and their emotion, but yet at same time you can see they try to handle the problem the possible way they know how. I think that Eve handle it very well, even when she suffered. Of course they both suffered. It really hard for me to try not to spoil it, so I'm going refrain from saying anything else.
The crime, was bit shocking but yet if I paid attention I would have figure out who the killer was. Who would ever thought the killer would turn out to be...that one. I couldn't imagine it, and it still shock me, now. It was nice twist to the story and very well thoughts out. The dialogue was great and descriptive well. Great plot and easy read. And wonderful cast, love them all
I highly recommend to read all of In Death series. They're great! You can't go wrong with reading any books by JDRobb(AKA Nora Roberts). If you want to find the list of order the books is written, check out the link at the bottom. Also you might want to try Nora Roberts backlist as well. They are good too.

Thursday Thirteen Edition # 8

Are you subscribe to Netflix? If not what video stores do you go to? Here are my list of 13 reason.....
1. You get to chose which movies you want to watch and list them in order of preference that you want to watch first, in your queue list - This is good things! Sometime I even changed my mind and re-arrange them.
2. You can have as many movies,TV shows, musics video on your queue list as you want - I have over 150 movies in my queue, and it still growing. I wonder how I'm going to have the times to watch them all *grin*
3. Movies that are still in theatre, you can put the movies in your queues until it become available for you - This good things, because these movies are saved in your queue and place at the bottom. When it available it get push up into the queue section where all the available movies are put at.
4. The movies are shipped to you in the mails, so no driving needed...enough said *grin*
5. There is no fee or due dates - Thanks gawd! My prayer have been answered LOL!
6. You can return the movies back anytime you want -YAY this is very important for me *grin*
7. You can watch the movies over and over and over - Which I tend to do with my favorite movies all the time *grin*
8. You can have 3 movies sent to you at the same time
9. When discs is damaged, Netflix replace the disc with another one and have it shipped to me very quickly with no delay - maybe that because we have Netflix near by our house. I have had disc damaged all the time, like it won't play and it stopped in the middle of the movies. Urgh!
10. There is preview trailer screen - Love this feature! I preview these screen so that I get an idea if that movies or TV show is worth putting in my queue list or not. It very helpful. Also you get to read small tidbit of what the movies about and see the rated letters.
11. You can add your "friends" so that you can recommend a movie that you like, that you think they will like too. And they do the same to you
12. You can watch old movies and TV show that you have missed first time around
13. Netflix keep you updated by emailing you to ask when I return the movies or when did I get the next movies. I think they do this to all subscriber to see if Netflix shipped the movies in mannerly time on it schedule dates to the time when it supposedly be at your mailbox

Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips *****

(Contemporary Romance)
Chicago Stars quarterback, Dean Robillard life went pale after he became one of America's most famous football player star and a well known success career. But when he got into a serious shoulder injury, he went on a soul-searching road trip to figure out what went wrong. He happens across Blue Bailey, walking alongside the road wearing a beaver costume. From there the two began to irritate each other with lying to one another. But Dean find that it might be more interesting to tag her along to his summer home in his farm in Tennessee.
Blue Bailey, an portrait painter, was on mission to murder, or do body harm, her ex-boyfriend after he made a call saying she was his inspiration, the only best friend he ever had and trusted. And he begged her to leave Settle and come to met him. Only she discover he left her a letter stating that he had fell in love with someone else. Then after she got thrown out by landlord and with no money or anywhere to go, she end up taken the trip to Dean farm house in Tennessee instead.
Both have common background, a abandonment issues in their pasts. Being neglectful by their parents. They searched for forgiveness, accepted and finding love again. Their romance push them to a deeper level about understanding each other.
I really love this book. It was very comedic fun but emotionally involved for me. At one point one of the scenes just made me sad for Riley, as she starved for attention. She made me cry. I like to think that Riley is the one who changed everyone life :) You will grow to love each characters as you watch them go through issues that needed to be confronted. I just love them all. It has plenty of funny moments too. I find myself laughing over thing Dean and Blue did or quoted all the time. And the romance between them were sizzling. I like the way Blue interacted with Dean's family. Especially toward his father, which has me laughing so much. I also like the way Dean interacted with Riley. Or how Riley interacted with everyone. There is secondary lover story characters that I enjoy also. And an old woman who you want to hate but really feel sorry for her.
This is the 7th books of the Chicago Stars series. And I love it as much as I love all the other previous books. I really like the way Susan's write and hope to see more of this series. The Chicago Star's gang are not always perfect but Susan have a way with making us love her characters in spite of all their flaws and flawless. I highly recommend you to read this series. They are all good :)

So if you have any series recommendation, please let me know. I would love to hear it! :) Okay now for my 13 list.......
1. The In Death Series by JDRobb - I found this series by coincident. I was reading Nora Roberts book, and then when there nothing else to read I saw by chance Witness In Death and brought it home to read. I thought how similar the name was to Nora Roberts books and then 1 years later I found out that JDRobb and Nora Roberts is one and the same person. And I went through the whole backlist, starting with buying the first book Naked In Death.
2. The Troubleshooter Series by Suzanne Brockmann - I was recommend this series books by a guy friend. He told me that it was Navy SEALs series. At first I wasn't sure about reading it but I borrow the first book from the library. I took it home and read it. And I love it. I mainly kept reading the series because of Sam Starrett and his relationship with the heroine, Alyssa. They are my favorite couple. Of course there also Tom & Kelly, Max & Gina too :)
3. The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon - I was recommend this series from one of my yahoo reading group. At first I was terrified of the thick books. But I decided to read it anyway. The first few chapters didn't really interested or grab me yet, and I was just about thinking how I going to drop reading it but after over 100+ pages the story got better. I love this series, I felt like am sitting on the floor listening to Diana Gabaldon tell me a story of lifetime. Don't let the thick books or the heavy descriptive detailed sway you away from reading the books. It worth it the reading.
4. The Chicago Star Series by Susan Elizabeth Phillips - I read half of the first two stand alone books by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. And didn't even finish it. I was about to give up, but as they said the third time is always the charm...right? So a friend of mine, Jill recommended me Chicago Stars Series, after she knew am fan of series books. Thanks to her I would have miss reading one of the most wonderful series. I love the humors in this story. And how the men and women aren't perfect but they learn about themselves and growth from the relationship too.
5. The Moon Series by Rebecca York - My good friend Darla, recommend me to read this series. At first I was really skeptical because I was burn too many time on some vamps stories. Sorry to all the vamps readers fan, it just not my cup of tea. But the first chapter to this first book, really grab me and I read it in one sitting. I really love all the main hero characters in each books. Thanks to Darla and Rebecca York, they got me into the werewolves world. I do love paranormals book but I'm not keen with vamps...sorry once again
6. The Ghostwalker Series by Christine Feehan - After reading some of the The Dark series I gave up reading the rest of the books. Because vamps was just not my cup of teas. However, I discover The Ghostwalker Series and really love this series. Military men, yummy!
7. The Bullet Catcher Series by Roxanne St. Claire - I think I discover this series when I notice one of the reviewers was talking about the men in the one of the book. I love the humors and yummy heroes in them. I can't wait to read more about them! It about a group of men who get hired to protect and bodyguard the people....the heroine ;)
8. The Ice Series by Anne Stuart - I discover this series at one of the message board that I visit daily. I was curious when some of the reader mention that Anne Stuart was either miss or hit books. There were lot of controversy topics about certain stuff(but really mean small thing to me). And after listening to one of my friend highly recommend it, I decided to read it. And WOW am so glad I did. I got one of my good friend hooked into this series as well and she and I are planning to read all the Ice Series together ;)
9. The Bodyguard Series by Cindy Gerard - Again I discover this series from reviewers at one of the reading group that I joined. Very deep writing and emotional depth with good cast characters and lot of actions
10. The NYC Hockey Blaze Series by Deirdre Martin - I was looking for another sport themes books, after reading and fallen in love with Susan Elizabeth Phillips's Chicago Stars Series . This series is... you either like one books more better than the others or all of them. For me it is the first option.....but I'm still going to continue to read this series, that is if there another series :)
11. The Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich - This was recommend by my best yahoo reading group. So glad they did because through out the series I find myself laughing so much. And I love both heroes and heroine :)

Writing in Books, Part Three
Booking Through Thursday
1. Speaking of writing in books, what about writing the entire thing? Do you write? Aspire to write? Dream about writing?
- I have always admire the many people(all authors alike) who write great stories. I have always been a reader since I was kids. Not until When I was in either 6th or 7th grade, one of our assignment was to write a story. So I did. I remember sitting on chair in front of the kitchen table writing Halloween story. With one of my friend, who also in the same class, sitting next to me, we will keep writing and writing and writing. We didn't want to stop. We had to read our stories in front of the class. I'm always nervous standing in front of people. I don't do well, with crowd. But feeling nervous and with a shaky hand, I began to read it out loud. And added sound to my story where need, like when the door creak or the clock bong...etc. At the end, the whole class clapped for me. I knew then that my story was great. I even got an A for this assignment :) After that, I knew I dream about becoming a writer. Many authors today, have inspired me to atlease try my hand in writing. I have written 3 stories since then, which is still on my folders. And no one ever read it. *grin*.
P.S. - As for my friend, when it her turn to read it out loud, she end up passed out and didn't finish the story. She was more nervous than I was hehehe *grin*
2. If you do write, do you do it for yourself, or because you hope to be published? (Or because you ARE published?)
- I started out writing the 3 stories to only entertained myself. I love to write and then look back at them to see how much my writing have changed. I wrote this 13 years ago, and no one knew about it. And nor have they ever read it either. I don't think I would make a good writer, although I do hope to be published someday :)

Mouth to Mouth by Erin McCarthy **** 1/2

(Erotic Romance)
Erin McCarthy website
Russ Evans, a Cleveland detective, was investigation Trevor Dean who is a theft and fraud con artist who ripped women off of their valuable stuff. On stakeout with his partner Jerry Anders, Russ was getting ready to arrest him at the Coffee Shop after he found the meeting notes that Trevor going to met a woman name Laurel. Only instead he found Laurel by herself Coffee Shop and Trevor was no where in sight. He wonder if she is Trevor's accomplice and then thought...no. She look too innocent and sweet to be a con artist. He later found out that Trevor have been using Russ name through exchange of online e-mails with Laurel. And most of their e-mails conversation are talked about sex and meeting each other. Ross want to protect her from Trevor, and hope she doesn't do anything to danger herself.
Laurel was tired of playing safe and living in a way people want her to be. So she decided to take the risk meeting people from online. she have not has sex in 6 years. And she want it. After her college friend, an old classmate of Russ, told Laurel about him she contact him through online. Only thing was, she thought she was meeting "the real Ross" at Coffee Shop. When it turn out the man she talked with online was con artist, she felt embarrassed and wanted to rush for home. She later realized that the con man is still out there and want to protect other women from Trevor Dean. She want to make a difference, matter. So she decided to action on her own hand, even if Ross dissaprove of it.
I love the interaction between the two main characters. They sizzle the pages! And I feel close to Laurel and can identify with her because she is deaf. I understood with her situation and the life that she grew up with. I also love interaction between the cat Ferris, his cop partner Jerry. We only get to see a little bit of interaction with Ross and his little brother Sean. I wish to see lot more of it. The second characters were fun too!
This book start out with a steamy bang! The characters relationship didn't get built up or aren't well drawn out yet from the beginning, until later. While I do love a steamy scenes, I like my characters to get to know each other and built up their relationship first. That the only complaint I have with books, but other then that the book was good! There is whole another meaning of using Pixy Stix, powder candy, in with the hot scenes, that you'll never look at Pixy Stix as plain in that way again *grin*. Mouth to Mouth was fast easy pace read and entertained. Very delightful fun humors and tender moments. And wonderful cast of characters. It had me laughing
You can tell I try not to spoil this book too much. It very hard to do. But if I did, I apology ahead of time. I have learn that the rule of the thumb is to always write reviews from the first three chapters of the books. This way it assure me that I didn't over spoils it for anyone :)
Mouth to Mouth is part of an connection books to the "The Bowling Friends" novellas book. So if you want to read the four novellas in order, then here are the books :
1. Bad Boys Online - Hard Drive
2. Bad Boys Over Easy - Fuzzy Logic
3. When Good Things Happen to Bad Boys - Lady of the Lake
4. Bad Boys of Summer - It's About Time
5. Mouth to Mouth (A single connection titles)
I'm fan of Erin McCarthy, and usually like her books. They are quick and fun read. If you want to check out her books, click the website above.

Dangerous Games by Lora Leigh * * * * *

(Erotic Romance-suspense)
Morganna had love Clint all of her life. But even when he pushed her away, she knew deep inside that he had feeling for her too. But when she turn 18 years old, anything she did to get him to admit his feeling toward her was never enough. And the last time she saw Clint, was when he tell her that party girl and Navy SEALs don't work well together. And left her to go on his mission. It was then at age 21, Morganna decided to apply for Law Enforcement Academy, even when she knew her brother Reno and Clint will not approve. She didn't want to be alone or wait on Clint forever. She want to to make a different.
5 years later, Clint return home on leave and expected some R&R. Instead he never imagine to see Morganna at the Diva's Club, an BDSM club where people go for the darker edge of sex and dominance games are played and male push their limit. Seeing Morganna there bring out the dominated side of him. No matter how much he tried to push her away, she always seem to make him weak and want her.
But when a gun fired hit was aimed at Morganna at the club, Clint knew something was wrong. He soon found out that Morganna is DEA agent, working on a undercover case. The same case on drug cartel that Clint's SEALs team has been working to bring down. More danger start to happen and Clint knew he need to protected her, take her some where safe and away from danger. And to bring down the people who drug cartel the date-rape on female too.
This is my first Lora Leigh's book and I really love it! I finish the book in one sitting! Clint is sexy bad boy and domin alpha male, who is tough in the outside but really soft inside when it come to Morganna. When he around her, he just couldn't help but given in and comfort her when she is sad. There just something about Clint that you just can't help but...love him. And at some point I did want to smack him but then I forgive him. But I focus more on the relationship between the hero and heroine. They sizzle the pages for me. Okay I sound like idiot, when I want to raves about a book I just discover ;) It just hard to find the right words to make an excellent points and make sense. But truly, this is good book IMO. Love how Clint interacted with his SEALs team and his friends. The characters are all likable that you want to know more about them. And hope they get their own stories. And I'm planning to buy more books by Lora Leigh :)
Dangerous Games is easy read with great full length writing and dialogs. It is erotic steamy, thrilling and hot. Good cast of characters. And strong plot. Strong, dark side alpha hero/ feisty heroine. Also keep in mind that there is an scenes of BDSM theme intercourse, that may not be for faint of the heart.
Most all of Lora Leigh's books are erotic romance, published by Ellora's Cave from e-books format. But recently her books are starting to published in print books too. Including by Berkley Publisher and St. Martin publisher. Dangerous Games and the rest of the Navy SEALs series are released in print books, published by St. Martin.
Click here is Lora Leigh website ....fair warning, just in case. You have to be 18 years old or older to enter the website :)
The order that the Navy SEALs are to be read are:
Honk If You Love Real Man (Reno story - Anthology trade paperback)
Dangerous Games (Clint story - Mass Market paperback)
Real Man Do It Better (Joe story - Anthology trade paperback)
Read it, you won't regret it. Okay I'm gonna shut up now, I really stink at reviews! LOL ;)

Lending Library
Booking Through Thursday
1.Do you lend your books to other people? If so, any restrictions?
- Oh gosh - I hate to say it but yes I do lend books to friends but am always give them some strict rules about taken care of my books LOL ! Lent some to a guy-friend and since then he tell me that I'm little crazy LOL !
I told him to please not to crease on the spine and don't put any stain in them or even wet the book. And that when he return it to me it have to be in the same good condition like when he first had it...he looked at me like I was crazy..ha! Sometime though if the books is old, I weren't care what he or my other friends do with it :)
2. Do you borrow books from other people? (Friends or family--I'm not talking about the public library)
- I do borrow books from other people. I have distance on-line friends who I borrow books from and return back to them when I am done. I have a book that I borrow for almost long period of time. Just haven't got around to return it back since I been busy, but lucky I have understanding friend. And I reminded her that I still got her book, so that she won't forget who got it if she end up trying to look for it. But she kept telling me to take my time and that there no rush for it. Still...it make me feel guilty ;) Thanks goodness this is only the first time it happen :)
3. And, most importantly--do the books you lend/borrow get returned to their rightful owners??
- Yes and no. Like I have mention on question # 2, I make sure friends know that I still got their books and will return it. I don't borrow lot of books though, since most of the time I borrow books from the library. Some books I do lent to either get return or never return. My sister for example, she took one of my book and never return it. Since then I have no idea where the book are *sigh*
Happy Booking Through Thursday! Happy Reading!

Rec'd series books/ Susan Elizabeth Phillips
It been a while since I recommend any series book. And I'm a HUGE fan of series books. So I thought I'll changed that and post it today. If you have been following my blog, you'll see I have posted 6 different recommendation by authors since last year. You can check them all out by clicking the archive months on the right side bar of this blog :)
Chicago Star Series by Elizabeth Phillips
First let me say that the first non-Chicago Star stand alone book I try by Susan, did not interested me. I stopped in the middle of the book then. I thought it might be the book or the mood that I was in at the time. Since mood play a big part in my reading habit. So I try another of hers stand alone book. And got the same reaction I did with the first book. And so I thought that SEP's books wasn't for me. Lucky my friend Jill, had changed that theory for me. She recommended me to try SEP's Chicago Stars series. I think she knew I was big fan of series book and decided to get me to read them. Knowing that I have been disappointed with two stand alone that I've try so far, I was skeptical about reading the third after two strike. But I decided to give it a go. After all there is saying that a third time is always the charm..right? And what do you know....it work! The first book from the series, It Had to Be You grab me from the first page and I was entertained through out the whole book. From there I started to collect them all and read the whole series. So glad I decided to read them, thanks you Jill!
The Chicago Stars Series aren't just always perfect at first. The heroes may be mean and jerk or been too rough on the heroine (or visa versa with heroine too) but both learn a lesson about themselves and from each others. And the relationship grow as they get closer and redeem themselves. There are plenty of laugh and good dialogue's that I always seem to quotes to my friends all the time. The heroes are a yummy football stars, bad boy with attitude but yet soft when they met the heroine...well almost ;) They can be sweet at a time. And wonderful, great cast of characters! I really love these series and hope reader would read them. I know that some of the heroes in the books (maybe 3 of them) aren't football stars but more like a close relation to the football stars characters. But they're good too. And please don't stop reading if and when you get to the scenes where you think it really going to happen and you're ready to throw it across the wall. It is NOT what it seem to be. And SEP had said, why not trust her on the writing? Just keep reading :)
Here is the order the books should be read :
It Had to Be You
Heaven, Texas
Nobody's Baby But Mine
Dream a Little Dream
This Heart of Mine
Match Me If You Can (this is in both PB and HC)
Natural Born Charmer (new HC only, Feb. 6th 2007 release book)
If you want to take look at her books from her website, here take a look Susan Elizabeth Phillips site I love these series!
*notice - the first 5 books are in PB only. I don't know if it ever going to be re-issues in HC. But if they are, and you know about it, please let me know. I would like to collect them and put it in my keeper bookshelf :) However the PB have been re-issued with a newer PB covers. end notice*

Thursday Thirteen : Edition # 5

First I want to say Hi and welcome back to Thursday Thirteen! So glad we're back again! I hope everyone have a good Thursday! :)
1- Wake up in the morning, had breakfast and then go to work with mom
2- Did alot of sewing today but less customers
3- Had lunch at Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch (YUMMY!) and I did some reading on "French Twist" by Roxanne St. Claire
- During lunch break hour, I checked emails, and make sure the yahoo group list that I co-moderated is doing okay. Plus accepting the posts that was in the spam folder, that should be allowed in since they're our regular poster. *sigh* there always a posts in there, everyday :( And then I post an reply emails to both my yahoo group and also my personal emails.
5- continue sewing through out the rest of the day while chatting with mom. We talked about my older sister 'cause it her birthday, which is today March 1st. Probably going to sent her text messages tonight to wish her Happy Birthday *grin*
6- Then check in the emails again, to be sure everything is okay, reply to emails..chat with friends for short minutes on IMs...etc. Visit book authors website for update online and then take a quick reading on my book
7- Leave for home from work, but stop by grocery store to get something for dinner.
8- Get home and found out that I finally got my pink T-shirt prizes that I won from online, in the mailbox yay! This took nearly two weeks to deliver to me. I also got my two movies from Netflix in the mail, double yay! *grin*
9- I made Rice Krispe treat for dessert. YUM!
10- watch TV shows (American Idols, Lost), My good friend call me. She want to invited me over to her house for dinner on the weekend with her sister and mom and then maybe go out too! Should be fun! Then check emails, read few Chapters from the book and chat with my friend Melody, before she head for lunch *grin*
11- Eat late dinner - yes am late eater *grin*. Read a few Chapters from "French Twist" ohhhhhhhh really really good book ;) Thinking why my friend Melody won't pick up this darn book *grin*
12- Forgot something, so I went to the store real quick to buy some blank bookmarks. In another group list, we participate in the "Spring Bookmark Exchange". So since I love to do scrapbooks, I decided to have the bookmarks hand-made om white blank bookmarks :) Last year I hand-made 4 bookmarks to friend for the "Fall Bookmarks Exchange", it was fun! I will try to load pictures of it here, if you want to see it :) I also got myself some books "No Regrets" by Shannon Butcher and "Thunderstruck" by Roxanne St. Claire (this is Harlequin NASCAR). I'm anxiously waiting for "New Moon" by Rebecca York, "Deadly Game" by Christine Feehan which will be out in March! Talk to my friend Melody for bit before she head home from work.
13- Watch the TV shows that I record on Tuesday (Gilmore Girls and The Unit) check emails one last time and then I head to bed (yeah I know this was boring list - sorry! Was your butt asleep? *grin*)
So tell me - Did you had a good Wednesday? What books are you waiting for to be release in March? Did you watch any TV shows last night? Do you love to scrapbooks just like me?
