10 Things You Would Do if You Were Younger

Ten on Tuesday

Keep in mind, this is in no particular order of preference. And these lists are the one I just don't have time to do anymore as I wish to do/ or never had that chance to :)

1. Go to the drive-in movie - I went to one when I was younger. I saw Grease for the first time there :) I know there still are some movie drive-in in other states, but not sure if there is one near me. I'm not even sure how to check....

2. Travel MORE OFTEN around the world

3. Dancing/gymnastic routine to musics in my front yard. I used to do this when I was kid. My neighbor and I get an strange look by any car passing by LOL ! I miss those days!

4. Take dancing/singing lesson, early

5. Start over, some of things my life - with no regret. That is if I can turn back the times :)

6. Go college

7. Spent more time with my grandparents - Now that I'm older, they passed away

8. Go skating, I miss those days

9. Go to Disney Land/World - I know I can go as adult. But I wish to experience as kid in me, from my eyes. You know..the thrill, the excitement...etc. Sadly I never get to go as kid :(

10. Go out more and have fun! - Not that I never went out in my younger days. I have, but not too many since I'm always studying.

Nalini Singh's The Visions of Heat Meme

The VISIONS OF HEAT meme

1. Which psychic power would you most like to possess?
- I think the power to read someone mind might be the better one I want. Since I have habit of worrying what people think sometime. But to have power to move an objects and to see the murder as it happen it next neat thing. I can help solve crime :)

2. If you could see the future, what would you like to see?
- I want to see my future husband. But I think I want to see my next generation grandchild/child (the future child. I would feel better if I know what the future child look like so that someday when am gone....I can rest in peace knowing the child be okay. Sorta like what the TV show "Charmed" did at the end of their season finale. Cried my eyes out but it was sweet ending

3. Imagine you woke up one day and could shapeshift - what would you shift into?
- Hmmm I really do not know LOL. I guess a leopard. They are beautiful animals. Is this shapeshifting?

4. What kind of a paranormal creature would you invite over for dinner if there were no limits on who you could ask?
- Werewolf. Because I been reading lot of werewolf stories lately *grin*

5. Which future innovation do you wish would hurry up and get here already? i.e. flying cars, a transporter, computers with artificial intelligence, an auto chef?
- I think I don't mind having flying car. Lot of speed and faster to get to my destination *grin*. But I like auto chef too. What about a huge walk in closet, where when you enter it, the clothes are automatically put on you without you having to put them on yourself, and you walk out and voila ...save the time and we on the go LOL

Writing in Books, Part Two

1.A couple weeks ago, we asked about how you take care of your books, with one of the questions asking whether you write in your books. Well, what about books that are meant to be written in? Like, say, a journal or diary? Do you keep one? Obviously, if you're answering this, you have a blog--do you just let your blog be your journal? Or do you also keep one for private stuff also?

Don't forget to leave a link to your actual response in the comments--or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

- When I was still in high school I used to write in a journal book daily. I started out with a diary first. Then I journaled. I still kept those books in my red chest box, which hold my past. Hoping someday I will go back and read what I wrote and see how much I have changed. I stopped writing until between the year 1989-1990, which was the year the oldest niece was born. I started to write a daily journal for her. I journal about her daily growth from babies to teenager. I talked to her about my family(her dad side of the family)and relatives. I wanted her to get to know us, and understand where she is coming from. So that someday when we are gone, she will have this journal books to remember us by and remember who she is and not to forget. And of course she will know how much we all love her. She is aware that this journal existed...but I told her she not reading it until she married or when it is the right time to give it to her ;)

I do blog, but not as often as many people here. Okay, let me refrain that.... I do blog alot about my thought in books and little bit on my family. The two most important things in my life :) I try not to blog on anything personal, because ...well..because I tend to like to keep some piece of my life private. However the meme is supposedly give you some small tidbits about my life..a little. That why I do the meme :)

Happy Booking Through Thursday! I hope everyone have a very nice day!

Angel's Fall by Nora Roberts

(Romance Suspense) * * * * 1/2 stars

Reece Gilmore, a sole survivor of a brutal crime back East, was on a run. She moved and settle in Angel's Fist, Wyoming and took a job in a diner as a cook help. She thought she only going to be there temporary until she ready to move again. But she was taken how glorious and beautiful it is in Angel's Fist. The hike and the mountain drawn her in. And the small town people seem to be friendly even when they bet or gossip on strangers. And she love being in Angel's Fist.

But a crime she saw in the Snake River of the mountain on the opposite bank, frighten her. She witness a murder and nobody seem to believe her. Not even the cop. She is a stranger and new comer to Angel's Fist, people thought. But she can only relay help from Brody, a crime writer, and to believe her.

Brody, a crime writer, was on the other side of the mountain when Reece rush to his side to tell him that she witness a murder. But when she took him to the spot where she saw it, there was no sign of anyone there. He decided to help her talk to the cop. But when he found out about her past, he was more concern for her, when the cop wonder if she may have been emotionally hallucinated a murder. But both Reece and Brody was going to continue to investigated to see if there was really a murder there....before the killer get to Reece.

Reeces and Brody was thrown together to help each other emotionally and physically. The tense hot romance between them were simply wonderful. And the relationship were throughly developed. Their characters were deeply detailed and real. Even the secondary characters were very well developed.

While I like the book, it wasn't among one of my favorite of Nora. But the books were greatly well written and I love all the characters and how they interacted. I found out easily and quickly who the killer was, before it was revealed. But I admit, that at one point there was only one scene that show the soft side of the killer that make you feel sorry for him/her (didn't want to revealed it gender of the killer *grin*).

Nora have great way of writing detailed breath-taking scenery and very well written characters developed and description of the places. I felt am always at the scenes when she write the places. It make me want to be there :) There also humors in the story, and I love Nora's sense of humors in every of her books. Great story, great Characters, great book :)

I recommend you to read it :)

13 Old Romance songs I love to listen to while I was growing up & now

In honor of yesterday Valentine's Day, some of these songs are really back from the 80's and other were in the 20th century. It was hard to pick all the songs that I thought were romantic, so it down to the one I mostly listen to so often. But since only 13 songs can be on the list, I had to cut off some. Please notice it NOT in any particular order. You can click on the each title's songs and it'll link you directly to the lyrics. Do you remember these songs? ;) :)

The Power of Love by Celine Dion

I Know What Love Is by Celine Dion

The Way (That You Love Me) by Clay Aiken

The Search is Over by Survivor

Tonight I Celebrate My Love for You by Perry Como

Romance

Booking Through Thursday

So, in honor of Valentine's Day . . .

1. Love stories? Yes or No?

- I don't mind love stories in my book. However more often I read romance mixed in with other genres. Such as romance suspense or paranormal romance. Every now and then, I do read love stories.

2. If yes, "romances" as a genre? Or just, well, stories that have love stories? (Nobody's going to call "Pride & Prejudice" a "romance," right?)

- I love reading romance in genre. I hate it when people look down on us for reading romance. I think if they take the time to read the books, they'll see that it not bad as they think it is. IMO

Happy Valentine's Day !!

VALENTINES

May the lover birds of all the blogger and friends have the romance and sweet moments for this day! May you have beautiful and wonderful time :) And hope that all the shower of gifts is the one that hold token of your loves....and don't forget to remind them how much you loves them too, today.

And from a friend to another friend, I give you my warm HUGS and wish you the very best Happy Valentines

Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks

(Paranormal Romance Suspense) * * * * 1/2

As I said previously - This book is supposedly be the official book to the beginning of the werewolves series. You won't miss much if you decided to read this book first instead of Only Human (from the Lover Beware Anthology. Since both are same characters and same world but the story are sorta different. And the first Chapters, the story begin just like it was from Only Human and that is the only thing similar to one another, that I can think of. After that things are different. Eileen Wilks wrote Only Human for only the anthology book. When she realized it would make a good series, she decided to restarted over and then Tempting Danger was born :) If you want to know more info on Eileen Wilks book, click on the titles link above. It'll take you directly to her website.

Lily Yu is a San Diego Police detective who was investigating a murder that appear to be the work of werewolf. With the help of Rule Turner, a prince of the lupi, she could best solve the murder crimes faster with him. But Rule is the suspected of murder and Lily try to prove he isn't. But Lily fellow officers think he easy target since he is werewolf.

Rule have his own personal reason to want to be involved in the investigation and went along when Lily asked him to help her. As both go hunt down the killer, they find that killer might be a cop from Lily police department. But the questions seem to be is why would a werewolf kill the victim?

the attraction between them were magically bond between their mind and the hearts. And it beyond human reason. They realized that there much more between them then just passion. She could be his chosen one, the one who could be fated to be his mate.

There so much to the plot line then just the murder story here. Many layers to the story and about each characters too. It also had lot of actions, mystery, supernational and of course romance.

I enjoyed this book. What I like about it is that we have strong Chinese heroine who is detective and is very honorable and smart. And how she deal with her past and their race made me understood her more. You don't get to know thing about her until later.

I admit, I did had hard time starting reading this at the beginning. It slowed me down. I took a bit longer to finish this book, not because I didn't enjoyed it. My life have taken over my reading time, and I couldn't get the time to sit and read it. And I think I been reading too many werewolf story straight in a row that it sorta burn me out. Sometime I need a change of moods to enjoy my reading. I thought I would have to stop reading this book, change to another genres and then come back to this book later. But I decided to go ahead and keep reading it. Glad that I did! I do recommend anyone to read this if you fan of werewolf story. To see the list of the series titles in order, click the titles link above the heading :)

I can't wait to read the next book. Thanks Darla for introduced me to Eileen Wilks :)

TLC

Booking Through Thursday - click me

What kind of care do you take of your books? Let's review, shall we?

1. Are you careful with the spines? Or do you crack your books open to make them lay flat?

- Yep I'm always careful with the spines. Sometime it even hard to read the books when you're trying not to pull the spines so far back to crack the spines. And I never lay them flat.

2. Do you use bookmarks? Or do you dog-ear the corners? If you do use bookmarks, do you use those fashionable metal ones? Or paper?

- I never dog ear the corners of the books. I always use bookmarks, and different kinds too. Even fashionable metal or papers too. Thanks to my great friends, I've received lot of book markers from the "Bookmarks Exchange" we've done for fun. Beside bookmarks, I also use other stuff to marks my pages (photos, movies ticket stubs. post cards, letters, papers..etc).

3. Do you write in your books? Ever? If you do, do you make small marks, or write in as much blank space as you can find? Pen or pencil? Highlighter? Your name on the front page?

- No - I never write on my books.

4. Do you toss your books on the floor? Into bookbags? Or do you treat them tenderly, with respect?

- I treated it tenderly of course with respect.

5. Do you ever lay your book face-down, to save your place?

- I never lay it face-down, always have something next to me to mark the pages.

6. Um--water? Do you bathe with your books? Hold them with wet hands? Read out in the rain? Anything of that sort?

- Hmmm sometime I do bathe with my books but tried to be careful to not drop them. But I don't do it so often. But I never read it out in the rain...that no no for me.

7. Are your books lined up on a bookshelf? Or crammed in any which way? Stacked on the floor?

- The keeper books are all lined up on the bookshelf but where there is no room for the newest book to go with the series books, I place it on top of the last book and stacked them up from there. My TBR piles are stacked up on the floor inside a tote bags. And each bags are stacked up into two row.

8. Do you make a distinction--as regards book care--between hardcovers and paperbacks?

- Paperback and Hardcover are taken care of in same manners. But sometime when I'm reading the Hardcover I would take the book jacket off and put it up somewhere, so that I can read the book without worrying about messing the jacket up.

9. And, to recap? Naturally, you love all of your books, but how, exactly? Are your books loved in the battered way of a well-loved teddy bear, or like a cherished photo album or item of clothing that's used, appreciated, but carefully cared for?

- I would say the books are like both cherished photo album and item of clothing that's used, appreciated but carefully cared for. As one of my friend always said, when you re-read the books over and over, you would know the book is being appreciated and loved :)

10. Any additional comments?

- I have habit of re-reading good series books often. So while most of my books are in good shape, it would have seem like the pages is failing out. But it not ;) And my books are place in orders in the matter of HC and PB. Every month I do take the book out and blow the side of the pages to get rid of dust on them :)

13 New Favorite TV Show I love to watch

Okay this have been proven that I am addicted to TV show. Everyday I struggle with which shows to record and which to just watch while it on. Some day there three shows on at same time, and I have heck of decision what to do. Anyway below, is my 13 list of TV show that are brand new or just "new to me" at the time....

1 - Lost - I watched this show since day 1. But ever since then, the show have been leaving us with MORE questions and less answers. The mysterious of the show kept me on the edge of my seat. But the more they span out the show with more questions, the easier it might be to lose the fan interested. So I hope they will give us an answers to some of them soon. I'm still a avid watcher of this show, and adore seeing Sawyer bad boy attitudes on the show *grin* as well with all the other great casting characters too. I wonder if there is another island that we don't know existed out there on the show? What your take on the whole mystery of this show?

2 - 24 - What can I say about the wonderful kick butt Jack? Just love the man. He is a smart, strong and very heroestric agent who do just about anything to protect the country. And not only is the show incredible, but the characters are great acted. I still love ex-president David Palmer. I thought he was one of the great president for the country. Sadly, he is only an acting president and not real. And I was so sad that he no longer on the show. Love the action, the thrill and the surprise twist and turn of the show...it a must watch for me. So glad that Kiefer Sutherland won award for best actor and the show won for best drama series TV show. I highly recommend watching it. Okay - do you think Jack's father is bad guy or not? And how do you like president Wayne Palmer so far?

3 - Heroes - I love the thought of everyday extraordinary human being who have the special ability power. We get to take look at each characters and see what kind of powers they have, why they have that powers and what they're going to do about it. You get to see glimpse of how their power affected their lives And each day we are left wondering if what they discover of their powers would be enough to help each other to save the world...save the cheerleader. My favorite characters is Hiro. He is sweet, cute and funny. And of course he wanted to be the hero and save the world and the mission he knew he must do..to save it. Can he? Would he make it in times? What about all the other heroes? And which special powers do you wish to have?

4 - Gilmore Girls - I didn't watch this show until the last two years. So I know I missed alot. But what I have seen, I really enjoy it. The relationship between Lorelai and Rory were interesting. Love that Lorelai try to be role model for her daughter, Rory. The mother got pregnant with her when she was very young and was left to take care of her daughter on her own. But Luke have been in their life too, since Rory was baby and have always been there for them. Love the relationship interaction between Lorelai,Luke and Rory. I just didn't like how the show ended Lorelai and Luke relationship and make it as if Luke is bad guy. I hope they get back together real soon. All the characters in Stars Hollow are all great casted imo. They're funny and I love their snippy, sarcastic funny and fast dialogs. What do you think will happen next?

5 - The Unit - a group of Ranger always on mission and their wives back at home in the base helping other wives and family. It interesting to watch as the men on their mission, and showing how they work. I like it that the wives back stories are shown too and not just leave it to the men on the mission all the times. It a great show. Am wondering why they are showing re-run and not new episodes. Am I missing something?

8 - OC - I have watched this show since the first season and been fan since. I love the sense of humors in the dialogs and the relationship in between. I really think that Sandy and Kirsten had a very strong marriage and been there for each other in bad and good. I love their relationship. And all the other cast were great too, especially Ryan/Taylor and sweet couple Seth and Summer. sadly to see that there is only a few episodes left before the season finale end. Do you think Seth and Summer would be married by the time the end of the season finale?

9 - Prison Break - I watched this since first season. It about two brothers on the run from prison, fighting to avoid being taken back to prison for a crime the oldest brother did not committed. It really interesting to see innocence people trying to fight to keep themselves alive and prove that they are not the murder. What happen to not guilty until it proven? Would Michael find justice for his brother Lincoln? What do you think will happen next? Do you think that Paul is really partnering with Michael and Lincoln to bring down the president Reynolds or is he doing this get the president approval of him?

10 - Desperate Housewives - I have watched this since day 1. Some day it get better then other weeks and sometime it slow moving. But humors are always there. It had funny, quirky, romance, relationship and....desperate wives. Funny scenes, characters and dialogues. Great mystery and twist and turn. And great looking men :) This season have been better now and I enjoy watching it more then I have since last few episodes. My favorite are either Bree or Lynette, Although Gabrielle is okay too. She make me laugh sometime. And who don't love Mike and Tom? Yummy! Who are your favorite housewives? What about the men? What about the couple?

11 - ER - I have watched this show since the first season. Since then many good characters left the show and it not the same anymore. For example, I still love Doc. Green and wish he didn't ended by dying of cancer. But it was one of those moments where you going to remember that episodes for many years to come. I cried my eyes out on that episode. Then one by one, some old characters leave and new members join in. Then we have to get use to seeing the new members and let them grown on us. I still like some of the characters that still there. Who are your favorite characters?

12 - Brothers and Sisters - This show reminded me of my family. The way they're always fighting but at the end of the days, thing work out....and then the next day start all over again. But we are always there for one another, no matter good or bad times. There always a problem but we tried to work it out. This show had many layer of interesting thing to discover and to learn about each person individual. I love that the family in the show are close knitted and yet at the same time have it funny moments. Who are your favorite brothers and sisters from the show?

13 - Grey Anatomy - The show had me hooked when watching the staff strive to save their patients as they are brought in to their hospital. Grey Anatomy are usually base on real life events outside our world, that you may have read from newspapers article or TV news. I'm amaze to see what problem are happening everyday and see how the Grey Anatomy staff solve the difficult situation problem from the real life events on their show. characters are fun and romance. Also there are great looking men to choose from and see their relationship develops with the women. Who would you want to "get away" with - McSteamy or McDreamy??? *wiggling eyebrows* *grin*

- I tend to read mostly better late at night. I would start reading at 12am and then stop at 3am. It give me peace and quietness. And more time to focus on the books. However, during the day when I'm not busy, I have habit of reading with some little background noise or else I'll be really sleepy if it silence in the room. I read in between commerical times, when am watching TV show too. And when I read, I need beverages beside me to drink too :)

But no matter what - I can't seem to read fast enough. I think I'm going to try to do what one of my friend did - read 50 pages 5 times a day. Maybe that will help me speed up my reading and bring down my TBR pile...but.....I think I'm wishing it too hard LOL
