I chose Chain Reaction by Dee Davis. It been in my TBR pile since last year. Here is the blurb from the back of the book.

*blurb* - Artist Mia Kearney has the perfect life: a successful career, a home she loves, amazing friends...until the hot August morning her world explodes. Lone survivor of a nuclear accident, Mia awakens in a government facility, faced with Homeland Security agent Nicholas Price, a man who wants answers she knows she doesn't have.

When Mia escapes, Nick has a choice to make. The CIA want him off the case, but instinct tells him not to let Mia out of his sight.

Now the web of deceit that's woven tightly around them is about to unravel, and someone out there won't be satisfied until Cedar Branch's last surviving resident is dead.....
*End blurb*

At first, even though the first few chapters went right to the action, the reading for me was a tad bit slow. But then pick up and it gotten better. I don't think the reason was because of the book, but that I've been busy and the mood was hard to get into of the book when my mind isn't focus on it. I really did enjoy knowing the main two characters, Mia and Nick. and it was great to get some background of them to get sense of who they are and the reason why Nick set to help Mia from the bad guys. Mia was strong person and smart. And there were sexual tension and chemistry between them. It was a breathtaking-edge of the seat action from the first go and through out the book, great plot twist and dialog. Enjoy it!

This is the first time I ever read Dee Davis' book and I know I will be reading more :)

Grade: 4 1/2 stars

This is an interesting challenge. I don't remember having any books with cars on their covers.

Happy reading, Julia!

Darla always has great ideas for the reading challenges, isn't she? :)

I don't think I've read any book by this author, and the premise of this book sounds interesting though. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

Alice, the main challenge is to read books that been pile too far down the TBR pile that been sitting there ...for longest times. It help to bring down the TBR pile but yet at same time give you reason to buy more books LOL

Melody - You right, Darla always seem to come up with an interesting challenge AND even managed to met the challenge with 13 books too ..gosh
