Keeping it Short

Booking Through Thursday

1. Short Stories? Or full-length novels?

- Personally I love a full length novels. I love good story with writing in depth, characters driven, and plot driven. A good emotion intense stories with wonderful cast characters.

- With short stories - I read them every now and then. But most often when a stories are short it just leave me wanting more and I get disappointed when the short stories are rushed.

2. And, what's your favorite source for short stories? (You know, if you read them.)

- I usually relay my friends, from online who I trust, for the source on short stories. Probably Darla, since she tend to catch things that I don't normally think about from the short stories. And even though I tend to agree or disagree with her, I continue to read the stories anyway LOL !

Hi Julia,

Like you, I also prefer full-length novels and I read rather selectively. I don't usually dig chic-lits but if they're good, I might just dive into one or two in one sitting...

I'm trying to get started on classics such as "Anna Karenina" and "East of Eden". The books are staring at me on the shelf waiting for me to 'take action'. LOL.

Happy BTT!

I feel the same way about short stories. Sometimes you get to the end and say "aaaargh!"

Alice - I usually don't read chic-lit either, but there are time when I read one and didn't realized they are chic-lit *sigh*. I never heard of Anna Karenina or East of Eden, but will take a look on it later :)

Darla - LOL, it pressure to read full - length novels? Sure everyone have their wacky mood so no need to apology, especially when one is up until 5AM early morning and no sleep - just to do the T13 list! Yeah that me LOL

Den - Agree - did you hear me screaming? *grin*....

Thanks everyone for visiting my blog - Happy BTT and have good day!

We do think a lot a like on this topic, don't we, Julia? :-) Short stories tend to be, well, too short! Haha There are some gems out there though and I do enjoy reading short stories when the mood strikes.
