Alice tagged me for this "Book Meme". Thanks, it was fun!
1. Do you remember how you developed a love for reading?
~~ Yes I do. I've always been a reader since I was baby. I was never without books and always seen reading those rhyme books or the Golden books. When I got to elementary school, there always a Book Fair inside our library room. I get so excited when it my turn to go to library and look around to see what books I be interested to read and order. We filled in the form and then return it to library. And then when the order come in we go back to library to pick it up. I remember that it just never ONE book sitting on my desk. There always be at lease 4-5 books on my desk that I have brought from the Book Fair. Those were fun. Because of that Book Fair, my love for reading grow through out my school grades to where I am today. If I could go back and bring those childhood days, I would want to go back to the time when I sat in the corner of my 3rd grade class, reading a book because it was "Reading Time" as my teacher use to say *grin*. Those days was the best, because it was nice to sit and read and not having to worry about doing adult stuff (cooking, cleaning, being busy..etc).
What are some books you read as a child?
~~ All the rhymes story tale books
~~ All the Golden books
~~ Harold and the Purple Crayon/ The Harold Series by Crockett Johnson
~~ The Ramona series by Beverly Cleary
~~ The Fudge series by Judy Blume
~~ Amelia Bedelia series by Peggy Parish and Herman Parish
~~ Dr. Seuss Books
~~ The Babysitting Club
~~ Encyclopedia Brown
And more...
What is your favorite genre?
~~ Right now my favorite is Romance Suspense. But I also like Contemporary Romance and Paranormal Romance (no vamps!). And a little historical but not too much.
Do you have a favorite novel?
~~ Yes I do have favorite novel, but then I can't just list one favorite because I have too many favorite novels.
Where do you usually read?
~~ Mainly I read in bed at night when the house is quiet and calm. It easier for me to concentrate and enjoy the book. OR sitting in bed while watching TV until the commercial come on and then I read where I left off and wait until the shows come back. Sometime during the days, I be reading on the sofa by the window -- when the sun is out and shining outside.
When do you usually read?
~~ As mention above, I read at night. It the only free times I have and it mostly quiet. I do read during the day when I'm not trying to catch up on my emails or babysit my friend 3 year old.
Do you usually have more than one book you are reading at a time?
~~ Normally I read one book at a time. But if I have to read two books it might be because am re-reading for book discussion in my group OR because I'm doing a joint-reading with two friends at same time.
Do you read nonfiction in a different way or place than you read fiction
~~ I don't read nonfiction books. But if I come across one, it only because am fascinate with the story behind certain person life. I do see and think nonfiction and fiction differently.
Do you buy most of the books you read, or borrow them, or check them out of the library
~~ Most of the books I read are brought. If ever I have to borrow or check them out from the library is because I either just prefer to wait until the book are release in paperback after it released in hardcover OR the authors is "new to me authors" and I want to try their books from library/borrow to see if their books is something I think I would enjoy and if it is, then I'll buy their books the next time.
Do you keep most of the books you buy?
~~ Most of the books that I buy are keeper since they're from authors I auto buy and enjoy reading. But some of the books that I don't keep, end up either donated to library or sent to the used bookstore (and I get to exchange my books with whatever available in their store).
If you have children, what are some of the favorite books you have shared with them? Were they some of the same ones you read as a child?
~~ I don't have kid but if I do, I would definitely share/read them Romona series book written by Beverly Cleverly. One of my childhood favorite books of all times. I think because I could identified myself with Romona on whatever problem she gone through. I will also want to share/read them The Fudges series written by Judy Blume, because it was fun books. And of course Harry Potter books too.
~~ I babysit my friend 4 year old boy and a few months ago he and I read together a book about Caterpillar who got hungry and ate foods stuff (he was 3 year old at the times). Each pages show the numbers of foods it eat from 1-12. Like on page 1 it ate 1 apple. on page 2 it ate 2 orange...and so on. And later it turn into butterfly. He love that book.
What are you reading now?
~~ Two books:
1)"Beyond fearless" by Rebecca York
2)"A Breath of Snow and Ashes" by Diana Gabaldon
Do you keep a TBR (to be read) list?
~~ Yes I do. I write it on paper until I buy them. Once it brought it in my TBR piles and it taken off the list.
What’s next?
~~ What next? As in what next on my TBR list? Let see...Nora Roberts Tribute, Linda Howard Angel Death, Roxanne St. ClaireNow You Run, Suzanne Brockmann Into the Fire, Cindy Gerard/Lora Leigh/Cherry Adair Rescue Me...etc.
~~ There are more books listed, but it'll be too long to post it here.
What books would you like to reread?
~~ All the book written by Nora Roberts, Suzanne Brockmann (Troubleshooter series), Anne Stuarts (The Ice series), Susan Elizabeth Phillips(Chicago Stars series) and Diana Gabaldon (Outlander series). I'm starting to love Roxanne St. Claire's Bullet Catcher series and Cindy Gerard Bodyguard series. I would love to re-read those with my friends. Can you tell I LOVE to read series book? *grin*
Who are your favorite authors?
~~ Nora Roberts, Suzanne Brockmann, Anne Stuarts, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Diana Gabaldon, Shannon Mckenna, Lora Leigh, Judith McNaught, Lora Leigh...etc.
~~ These are the authors I can think of at the top of my head, but there are a LOT more authors to list. And it'll be too long to list them here.

I loved those reading moments when I was in Primary School too! We'd all sat at the assembly hall and read for about 20 mins before we went to our classrooms. Ah...those days! :)
I knew you're a BIG fan of NR & SB especially, so it isn't news to me, hehe...
Aren't those moments wonderful? I love it when my 3rd grade teacher gave us a "Reading Time". She let each of her students pick a place to sit and read. Mine alway in the corner next to the bookselves by the back door. I love those spot. The more to play with the books that were on the shelves LOL!
And...yes, you know me -- I love NR and SB :)
To Melody: That's so nice! I don't remember my school having those moments but I would imagine myself immersed in reading for that 20 blissful minutes. LOL.
I love series books too and up to today, I haven't really touch other NR books apart from her trilogies and whatnot. Once again, thank you, Julia for introducing me to NR. Hehe...
