My Saturday Fun with Trish!

Today - on October 18, my niece Trish had a 2:00 appointment at the London and Company spa to get a body wrap. But when we got there, we had to wait another 45 minute because a lady before us was still using the room. So we walked out and took a walk around the building where Whole Food Market stood. It the same place where Trish brought my traditional Berries birthday cake. I decided to get a small cup of Strawberry Lemon Sorbet ice cream and Trish got some mash potatoes. We sat down to eat and while we waited until spa time, there were a older couple sitting two table ahead from us singing. With their instruments in hand they sang, sorta like Phoebe from the TV show Friends, when she singing at the cafe. Very funny stuff.

10 minute before it's 2:45, we walk back to London and Company and had to waited a few minute before Trish be able to get into the room. Once in there, they started wrapping her up, which is attached to a machine. I sat next to her reading At Risk by Alison Kent, while she lay getting her body heat up. At first she said it felt blessing good but then later she started to feel sweat and I had to take the napkin to wipe the sweat off her face. When an hour and a half have passed, we were ready to leave.

We decided to stop by Barnes and Noble, because I want to get some books. Trish know I can not go a day withOUT buying books -- teehehe. But first, we walked up to the Starbucks section of the bookstore to see if they have the Ice Pumpkin Spice Latte coffee available. But they don't. So we order the Strawberry Marlon drink from the bottle instead. So I went upstairs to browse around and I found few books. But most of the books that I need, wasn't there...oh darn! *sigh*....

The books that I brought are:
1. Take No Prisoners by Cindy Gerard
2. Thread of Fear by Laura Griffin
3. Broken Wing by Judith James

I love Cindy Gerard's Bodyguard books, so I knew I'm going to love her brand new Black Ops books. Can't wait to dive into it. Laura Griffin is a new to me author, so I hope that be a good read.

Broken Wing was highly raved and recommend by Kristie from Rambling on Romance,etc.. After reading her review I decided to buy a copy. You can read her review here. Once you get there, just scroll down a bit and you will see it. You can also see other reader's reviews that were also linked on that same page too. I hope I like it as much as Kristie did....now I'm afraid...LOL!

Also see below for the book's covers I brought (anyone read it before?):

Melody - you do know that Broken Wing is a historical book, right? *grin*. But since Kristie raved about it so much, I felt she pushing me LOL *grin*..so I figure I should give it a try. I hope you get it and read it. Warned though, it sora thick book, but not as thick as the Outlander books are *grin*.......
