Books Weekend

Last weekend I got three books Dark Warrior:Unknown by Alexis Morgan, Twisted by Andre Kane and Stolen Heat by Elizabeth Naughton. I am only familiar with Alexis Morgan The Paladins series (5 installments)and her newest Talions series as well. The other two authors is new to me authors.

Dark Warrior:Unknown by Alexis Morgan - I believe is the second book to The Talions series, which recently came out last Tuesday. I haven't even started on the first book. There are two set of series books. I learn about the The Paladins series through a very sweet friend name Nancy, who I 'met' through my Yahoo Group list. She recommend the series to me and I jump to her raves and brought all 5 installments of The Paladins series. When I learn she had new series, The Talions, I also grabbed copy of the first book and add it to my growing TBR pile *sigh*. I admit that each bookcover had a very interesting models on the front cover *grin*. Both series books are paranormal romance. Here the information for Dark Warrior:Unknown...

Back Blurb:
Enter the secret world of Talions-fierce, passionate warriors fighting for their very existence-in Alexis Morgan's sizzling new paranormal series.

He's on a mission for justice...

Sandor Kearn is the Talion Enforcer tasked with policing his people, the Kyth. His latest assignment is the new killer stalking the streets of Seattle. But while Sandor is hunting the Kyth renegade, someone else is hunting him.

She's on a quest for the truth...

When Lena Wilson's mentor died investigating an arson case and the police ran out of leads, she vowed to find justice herself. Lena-who doesn't know she is part Kyth-has the ability to see fragmented flashbacks of the crimes she's investigating through her sense of touch. And when she meets Sandor, she feels suspicion-and desire-like she's never known.

It's only a matter of time before they touch...

With dark forces closing in, Sandor must keep Lena from digging deeper and exposing the existence of the Kyth. The only way is to convince her of his innocence. But how can he, when he can't keep his hands off her?

I discover Andrea Kane about almost 3 years ago when she first released the romance thriller paperback of Wrong Place, Wrong Time in 2007. My friend also raves to me about this book. But when I started reading it, I only managed to get to first three chapters and never finish reading it. Only because there was another book(s) I want to read first. But than I soon forgotten about this book and only to remember it when the paperback of Dark Room came out in 2008. I add it to my TBR pile also and than that when I came across the book I never finish. It wasn't that anything was wrong with the first book. I truly enjoy it for the most part. It's just that I had forgotten to get back to it. I'll get back to it soon. I think the two books are connected book, but don't quote me on that! Now the latest paperback book Twisted just came out. And I got copy of that one too. Here the info:

Back Blurb:
Who will be next?

Through former FBI Special Agent Sloane Burbank once survived a life-threatening injury in the line of duty, she now uses her specialized skills as an independent consultant. But when one of her closest childhood friends mysteriously disappears, Sloane takes the case-even though her ex-lover Derek Parker is the FBI agent in charge.

Special Agent Derek Parker has no time to spare for a dead-end case-especially since it would mean working with a woman he never expected to see again. But as more women disappear and others turn up brutally murdered, he and Sloane come to the sickening realization that these random crimes are linked to the same crazed killer, a fiend with a mind so psychotic, so twisted, that it will take everything Sloane has to capture him-even as she becomes his latest target.

Elizabeth Naughton is a new to me author. I discover her through few of blogger's reviews on her first book in her romance action adventure STOLEN trilogy, Stolen Fury. It's quoted by author Allison Brennan, that "If you like Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone, you'll love Naughton's dazzling romantic adventure STOLEN FURY". I love both movies and watch them to many times! Who can't help but love Harrison Ford and Michael Douglas in their good-looking young days? I know I did! *grin*. I have not yet got the first book, but I will eventually. I did however grab a copy of the latest book #2 Stolen Heat. I'm excited to start on the Stolen trilogy books soon! Here the info for book 2:

Back Blurb:
Antiquities dealer Peter Kauffman walked a fine line between clean and corrupt for years. And then he met the woman who changed his life- Egyptologist Katherine Meyer. Their love affair burned white-hot in Egypt, until the day Pete's lies and half-truths caught up with him. After that, their relationship imploded, Kat walked out, and before Pete could find her to make things right, he heard she'd died in a car bomb.

Six years later, the woman Pete thought he'd lost for good is suddenly back. The lies this time aren't just his, though. The only way he and Kat will find the truth and evade a killer out for revenge is to work together-as long as they don't find themselves burned by the heat each thought was stolen long ago...

All three books sound good to me, I can't wait to start on it! Anyone ever read these books or authors other books? I would like your take on them if you have. I truly need to stop buying books. I seem to be buying more books faster than I could read them. Someone need to slap my hands every time I reach out to touch any books. Maybe that would knock the sense out of me *grin*...NOT! ;) Have a good day everyone!
