Books I bought In May

I've been pretty much busy and became kinda lazy to post anything on my blog. And yet, I've got a lot of reading done these past few months. Since the summer is almost here, I've decided to try to spend more times on my reading too. So far in May, I've read 4 books. I'm hoping to read more books in by the end of May. Wish me luck!

Below are the books I bought this month. They're all authors I've read for many years and had became my favorites. I admit that I'm sorry to see that Sweet Spot is the last book for Richmond Rogues baseball series. I'm going to miss them. Also I'm very used to read Roxanne St. Clair's Bullet Catcher series and sad to hear that it will be the last one but for a while. I'm anxious to try her new contemporary romance Barefoot Bay series soon. The last book, is 'new to me author'. I have read many reviews on this book and the idea of a heroine working for a legendary female assassin, and she only employs women, working together with group of mercenaries men for a rescue missions pique my interest!

Next time, I will post the upcoming May books that I'm looking forward to buy soon!

Sweet Spot by Kate Angell
Editorial Reviews
Publishers Weekly
Angell’s fifth Richmond Rogues baseball romance (after Sliding Home) is another lighthearted contemporary in which a rakehell athlete is tamed by a quirky, passionate woman. Star second baseman James “Law” Lawless and ambitious financial adviser Cat May have a memorable sexual encounter while in costumes and masks at a night club. He spends much of the book trying to identify “Wonder Woman” while she tries to pretend the incident never happened. Meanwhile, as affluent investor, Law meets Cat in her professional role and is wowed by her business acumen. Disappointingly, there is little of the baseball trivia that gave the earlier books their charm, but fans of the Richmond Rogues will enjoy cameo appearances from the whole team and their sweethearts. Agent: Roberta Brown, Brown Literary Agency.
