Kill Me Twice * * * * 1/2

(Romance Suspense)
Kill Me Twice is the first book to the "Bullet Catchers" series. In slang term, the Bullet Catcher mean bodyguard. But this book, in this case is secret firm ran by a former CIA agent and staffed by hunks, hot and handsome men who experts in protection and safety. There are so far 3 "Bullet Catcher" books out. Kill Me Twice, Thrill Me to Death and You Can Count on Me (I'll Be Home for Christmas anthology - just released on October 2006). To learn more about "Bullet Catcher" series, click this link Roxanne St. Claire website . You will also find information on each Bullet Catchers characters, the role they play and the picture image of who Roxanne St. Claire think each characters would look like from the above link website. It is interesting!
I admit that during the first few Chapters, I wasn't sure how well I was going to like this book. Because I wasn't sure if the heroine would be someone I would like. But as I continued reading, things started to move on quickly. And OMG I love it :) It was action pack, with sizzling romance, danger and thrilling emotion ride. Two strong main characters and two men from "Bullet Catchers" firm to love.
Alex Romero is a bodyguard, who was hired by Kimball Parrish, to protect his client Jessica Adams. Instead he ended up protecting the wrong twin sister, when he realized that the unprotected woman he tried to teach a lesson to was Jazz Adams. But he doesn't walk away from her, even when she doesn't want his protection.
Jasmine (Jazz) Adams is private investigator, who is trying to catch the creep who is stalking her twin sister, Jessica. The struggle to find the stalker on her own was difficult, especially with her bodyguard, Alex Romero, seem to think he needed to follow her every moves to help her find her sister. And Jazz did not want his help. But when she uncover a dark mystery, she discover there was something bigger than the stalking and her missing sister. To find the lead to her sister, she must pretend to be Jessica, where she work as TV reporter. Jazz also relied on Alex and the two men from "Bullet Catcher" firm, Max and Dan, to help to find her sister before it too late.
But on the mission, Alex and Jazz can't help but become attracted to one another. And the romance between them became sizzling hot. They fell in love but tried to fight off admitting to it.
What happen at the end was a very thrilling ride to a good ending. There is a small twist to the story. You will also see more on the two Bullet Catcher men, Dan and Max as they get their own story. I think this have been a good read for me since last month. I highly recommend this to anyone if you like series book, actions, strong main characters and good ending. :)
I can't wait to read the second book Thrill Me to Death ! Better published this off or I'll give myself a big aheadache trying to make this review good *sigh*...... *grin*

Big Trouble * * * * *

(Contemporary Romance)
Marianna Jameson
Naomi Conner is the hottest computer security consultant in the field. She is known to find hackers before they can do much damage. Noami new assignment take her to the "The Brennan Shipping Company", the same company she nearly hacked and destroyed years ago when she was twelve.
Joe Casey is Chief technology officer who hired Naomi to "hack" test his company's security. He normally doesn't let his defenses down for any woman. But when he met Naomi, he realized how sexy and desirable she was. They both have rules about romancing coworkers and resisted each other as long as possible. But the attraction was obviously there.
As 6 weeks passed by, They fell in love. Joe took her on his sail boat, even though she was afraid of the water. He even went to the step of dating his colleague (Noami) and had gone beyond the third date rules. So far he has broken his three standard rules, and his friends were amused. Noami fell in love with his family and learn the true value and meaning of the word. She didn't want to hurt them by confessing to who she really was, but every moments she spent with Casey Family, drew her more into wanting to tell them. And Joe, knowing that her past was bothering her, decided to let her tell him when she was ready.
Then finally Naomi found the hacker and soon she going to leave for home. But would that also mean leaving Joe and never see him again?
Big Trouble is the follow up to Jameson's first book My Hero , another likable book with strong characters and a wonderful story. Big Trouble was emotional, exciting, steamy, humorous, and to add onto that, had wonderful family values. It was in depth writing with great dialogs too :)
It wasn't a "who dunnit" because it was easy to find out. We don't really see the actual love scenes played out. We only get the impression that it happen but the next pages, show them laying down having conversation after it. Other then that, this is a great book. I highly recommend it :)
FYI - I finished reading this book on 10-18-06 but delayed the posting of it until today :)
Extreme Bachelor * * * * 1/2

(Contemporary Romance)
Extreme Bachelor is the second book to the "Thrillseekers Anonymous" trilogy. The "Thrillseekers Anonymous is a members - only adventure service that caters to the rich and famous. It was started by 4 men who former life was doing dangerous stuff. To read more on these Thrillseekers Anonymous Book series, click the link here: Julia London
Michael Raney was a former CIA operative who dumped Leah when he was called out on mission 5 years ago. He was never saw or heard from again until they coincidentally see each other at the film making for "Soccer Mom". He is now a stunt coordinator, and is there to give the actresses stunt lessons. He spent a lot of time with his buddies at Thrillseekers Anonymous "T.A.", after he left the CIA.
Leah was an actress who was a rising theater star in New York City and in love with Michael, until he dumped her. After he was out of her life, she took a sudden bad turn. She then move from New York to LA for a small role in "soccer mom". And for that role, she had to take a 3 week training camp to learn how to do stunts for the film.
They were surprised to see each other again, but then learned later that Jack had set them up. Michael hoped to get a second chance with Leah, so he told her that he was a former CIA and was on mission when he left her 5 years ago. Leah didn't believe him and laughed it off. Later, when she realized he was telling the truth she decided to give him a chance. But then she saw him around other actresses and found that she couldn't trust him, after all he is "extreme bachelor", so she broke it off. And no matter how many time Michael tell her that she is the only one for him, she won't trust him
Leah hasn't forgotten a single moment that they have spent together in the past. The dream that Michael tarnished for her were gone. And to start their relationship where they left off was tempting. Then she met a stranger who invited her to lunch and they became fast friend. But he was not who he seemed to be.
Extreme Bachelor was a very charming and romantic. Sometimes I wanted to yell at the heroine, because of her ignorance. I like Michael because he tried to redeem himself afte leaving Leah 5 year ago. And even though he is ladies man, he tried to change that when he realized that Leah was the one. The couple struggle with their relationship and wonder if it worth fighting for. Good, fun and entertaining book. You'll see the previous men from Wedding Surivior too :)
There has not been a good reviews at Amazon on this book, and I can't understand it. But I do know that I like the book :) I guess as long as hero redeem himself, then I'm okay with the book. I can't wait to read the third book American Diva which coming out in August 2007, in trade size paperback. Yep that is correct....trade size paperback. Geez can you believe that? *sigh*
FYI - I finished this book on 10-8-06 but delayed posting it until today :)

It Good To Be Back! :)
While I was away, I was buying books after books after books. It seem I've brought more books and done less reading. Too bad my TBR piles is going to have to get use to seeing new books stacking up above them *grin*. The recently one I brought are:
- Megan's Mark by Lora Leigh
- Ain't She Sweet by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
- Crazy Sweet by Tara Janzen
- Hard Evidence by Pamela Clare
- Conspiracy Game by Christine Feehan
- Dark Protector by Alexis Morgan
I'm familiar with most of the authors listed but the others, I'm not. Alexis Morgan and Lora Leigh is new to me. But I have heard enough raves about them to grab a copy and see what it all about :) I can't wait to read them all!
Have anyone read these authors?
I hope everyone have a nice day!
