This is a join-reading with my friend Alice at Hello, My Name is Alice , thanks so much for reading this book with me, Alice. It always fun! Shall we do again, let me know when and which books. And I be here :)

Since that night in 1987 when Cal, Gage and Fox made a blood brother ritual at the Pagan Stone on their tenth birthday - strange things been happen in the town of Hawkins Hollow. Their mixing blood had freed something that was trapped centuries ago. And for seven days and every seven years, it had stormed through the Hollow interrupted the lives of many people in town. Moving forward to 1994 (seven years later), Fox saw blood cover the arm of a boy who was playing with his Tonka trunk in the blue sand box. Blood overlapped the sandbox and into the ground. He also saw another boy, was wasn't a boy on the fence grinning at him and dancing while flames were spurted below. He knew the evil is back. Now in the present day of 2008, the men are prepared to battle the force that trapped it. And with the help of 3 women who seem to be connected to the demon, it's a battle between good and evil.

Fox Larson, a lawyer, had ability to see people mind --- the same ability that Layla is talent with too. If he trusted her enough he knew that it will help them to be able to fight the darkness that is threaten The Hawkins Hollow. But Layla seem to have trouble accepting her ability and Fox issue with trusting her. But once they put their fear aside, they were able to get closer into relationship and work together to battle out with the demon.

Meanwhile - the 6 group (Cage, Cal, Fox and Quinn, Layla and Cybil) read the very old journal that was written by Ann a century ago, and discover their connection to the descendants family and of what happen that night that open the force of the evil. And as they get closer to finding answers and solving the pattern, evil lurked and tried to hurt them all at once.

From the first book Blood Brother , the story focus on Cal and Quinn who both had psychic ability. It also open the history of the story, of the men birth and how the groups got together. The romance from the first book (Blood Brothers), was there but show not much built up in them however the second book (The Hollow) show more length romance, which was better. Fox and Layla was the sweet couple but beside the battling the evil together, were there obstacle toward their HEA? There were some good exciting acting scenes but it wasn't enough. However while this isn't my favorite book, I did enjoy The Hollow very much more better than the first book. I hope that the third bookThe Pagan Stone will be more exciting, more romance, more action and give us the outstanding conclusion of the final trilogy.

Enjoyed the book, and I hope you did too :)

I am looking forward to the resolution of this series, but I don't think it will be one of my favourite Nora trilogies.
