Windfall
Booking Through Thursday
Yesterday, April 15th, was Tax Day here in the U.S., which means lots of lucky people will get refunds of over-paid taxes.
Whether you’re one of them or not, what would you spend an unexpected windfall on? Say … $50? How about $500?
(And, this is a reading meme, so by rights the answer should be book-related, but hey, feel free to go wild and splurge on anything you like.)
- First and most of all - since the economic, we have to be careful of how we spent our money. There many choices. But you can bet on that if it's $50 or $500 refund than we will use it for foods or clothes. But I definitely want another bookshelf to add it in my room with the other bookshelves that I already own in my bedroom. I never own a 5-section bookshelf, and that is what I need. It'll look nice in my room *grin*. And of course buy more books, books, BOOKS! *grin*.
If I get more money out of it, I probably get myself a laptop. It what I want to have for my very OWN. My family have been hogging all the others desktop and laptop. So I always had to wait mine turn *sigh*. And hey, I'm splurging for something big LOL! But I don't see that happen anytime soon - HA!
Or, call me crazy, but I might pass the money to someone who really need it more than me. Because of economic, I know that many people are in a difficult situation. And it have been hard time for them. It may be not much, but it might help a little :)
What about you? what would you spend an unexpected windfall on?

I need another bookshelf too! And it never hurts to buy more books, huh? LOL.
It's great that you're thinking of passing the money to anyone who's in need of it. Though $500 may not be considered a huge sum but still it's the heart that counts. :)
I know what you mean about the laptop, my b/f bought me a laptop that was just for me and he wasn't going to use it lol, now I havn't used it for weeks as he is always on it lol, I end up on his desktop! lol :-)
Sigh! We wish for so many things. I too want a laptop!
let the windfall fall on my head
I put bookshelves in my answer as well. A laptop is a great idea!
I wasn't so noble in my answer.
Windfall
I was not so noble either, Bluestocking. Took the total fantasy approach. But I think shelving and laptops were atop many people's lists.
I sure love my pc, would love a mini laptop :)
You have a heart of gold, Julia, for wanting to help others who are less fortunate. Bless you!
I'm sorry everyone! I thought I've already response to this post.
Melody - Yep, it never hurt to buy more books to add to our brand new bookshelf we'll get soon *grin*. I like to give back to peeps who need it :)
Scattie - Ain't that the truth! Well I hope you're able to play with your supposedly laptop soon. Peeps tend to think they won't use it but once they touch the laptop they are addicted LOL
Gautami - I hope you get a new laptop as you wish to. Maybe in due time, you will get one :)
Jess - I hope you get some new bookshelves for your books :) I may not have anymore room, but am still putting a new one in *grin*
